Responsibilities Rich Fante leads the development and execution of marketing strategies for all AstraZeneca brands, ensuring that healthcare professionals and patients are informed about AstraZeneca medicines and related programs. In this role, Rich leads the executive team charged with delivering US sales and profits for all marketed brands. Prior experience Previously, Rich served as Vice President—Primary Care for the GI and respiratory franchises. As the largest units within the US business, they include key brands such as NEXIUM® (esomeprazole magnesium) and PULMICORT RESPULES® (budesonide inhalation suspension). In 2005, NEXIUM attained market leadership in total prescriptions. Rich joined Astra USA in 1995, and has held a number of leadership positions in marketing, including Vice President of Marketing Operations, and key positions overseeing the launches of RHINOCORT AQUA® (budesonide) Nasal Spray and PULMICORT RESPULES.
