Newark, Delaware AstraZeneca's US supply and manufacturing division, located in Newark, Delaware, opened in 1971. One of the first products produced at this facility was the popular antacid Mylanta. Westborough, Massachusetts Located in picturesque central Massachusetts, the Westborough site was commissioned in 1979 and completed in 1983, after phasing out a supply and manufacturing facility in Worcester, Massachusetts, built in 1948. The site has evolved from primarily supplying parenteral (sterile injectable) products to becoming a multipurpose facility capable of supply and packaging of sterile injectables, topicals, and respiratory products. Over the years, many new technologies have been introduced to enhance production efficiencies and product quality. The most well-known products produced here are PULMICORT RESPULES® (budesonide inhalation suspension) and RHINOCORT AQUA® (budesonide).
