How do I apply?
The only way to apply for positions is through our
Online Recruitment Center.
To expedite our Recruitment team’s ability to review your
skills, we no longer accept paper resumes that come to us via mail
or fax. When you submit your resume to us electronically it enables
our Recruitment team to immediately search on your resume and
possibly match it to open positions.
You can search for jobs on our Online Recruitment Center and then apply on-line using the “Apply to This Job” link at the top of the selected job description page. Or, you can create a Career Profile now and when you identify a job you are interested in applying for, log-in to our Online Recruitment Center and apply.
You will need Internet access and an e-mail address to apply
online. If you do not have Internet access, visit your public
library or ask a friend to provide you with Internet access. If you
need to obtain an e-mail address, you can create a free e-mail
account through one of the following sites:

Can I apply to AstraZeneca without applying to a specific job?
At this time we only accept resumes for current open positions
listed on our Online
Recruitment Center. This is to ensure that you have reviewed
the particular position(s) and have determined that your skills and
abilities are a match for that position. If you determine that you
are not a match for a current open position, you can
create a Career Profile and
then check back periodically on our
Online Recruitment Center to
review new positions and apply.
Is it best to use a recruitment agency to represent me?
We believe applying yourself using our
Online Recruitment Center
is the most efficient and effective way to apply for jobs with
AstraZeneca.
Who can I contact to discuss the position I am interested
in?
Due to the high volume of resumes that we receive, we are unable to
provide you with a contact to discuss open positions.
How long will a job be posted on the www.astrazenecacareers.com
site?
The time can vary from position to position. The length of the
posting period is dependent upon the speed of our search processes.
Jobs are posted until their status changes in our online
recruitment system, meaning a candidate accepts an offer, the job
has been put on hold, etc.
When should I plan to hear from AstraZeneca after submitting my
resume?
You will receive a confirmation e-mail soon after we receive
your resume. Our staff of professional Recruiters will evaluate
resumes in our database and extend interview invitations to those
candidates whose qualifications best match the job requirements. If
you are invited to interview, a member of the AstraZeneca
Recruitment staff will contact you. If you have not been selected,
you will not be contacted, even if the position remains open.
I’m having a difficult time viewing my resume after
submitting it. Help!
If you want to view and/or edit your resume, log-in to your
profile through our
Online Recruitment Center
and then go to the “Edit my Profile” section. To view
or edit your resume, scroll down to the bottom of your profile and
click the appropriate link(s). If you are still experience problems
viewing your resume, make sure that it was submitted in one of the
following formats and that the resume does not contain any tables.
Formats supported are: .doc, .rtf, .html, .txt.
What can I do if I haven't heard from AstraZeneca about my
resume submission?
You can check the status of your resume submission by logging-in
to your Candidate Profile through our
Online Recruitment
Center and clicking on the “My Applications”
section. All your applications are listed here and if your status
changes for any of your applications the status designation will
change on this page.A member of the AstraZeneca Recruitment staff
will contact you if you are selected for an interview. If you have
not been selected, you will not be contacted.
What will happen at an interview?
AstraZeneca uses a variety of different interview types such
as a behavioral/ competency and technical. A competency interview,
for instance, is an ability or attribute described in terms of
skills and behaviors that are key to effective performance within a
job. A technical interview would cover the specific technical
aspects of the position
I have submitted my resume and I believe I meet the minimum
qualifications for the position. Why haven’t I been contacted
for an interview?
We receive a high volume of resumes for consideration and the
AstraZeneca Recruitment staff, which specializes in matching skills
and experiences with our open positions, will invite only those
candidates who most closely align with the requirements of the open
position.
Will I be given any feedback as to why I was not invited to
interview?
Due to the large number of resumes we receive it is not possible
for AstraZeneca to provide feedback to those candidates who were
not invited for an interview.
Are there any internship opportunities?
Yes. AstraZeneca offers internship opportunities in a variety of
areas. To submit your resume to AstraZeneca specifically for
consideration for our internships please create a career profile
through our Online
Recruitment Center and when prompted for source code please
indicate INTERN2005 in this field. Your resume and profile will
be reviewed. If your skills meet our needs we may contact you for
further information. Internships may be available at various sites
in the U.S.
Are there any entry-level opportunities?
We are always seeking to recruit the best talent into AstraZeneca.
Many of our positions require previous relevant work experience.
However, we do offer some entry-level opportunities. We encourage
