Contributing to charitable causes in local communities Charitable contributions are just one more way AstraZeneca helps support the communities where we operate. Through our Corporate Community Alliances (CCA) group, AstraZeneca contributes to organizations throughout our local region. Currently, more than 130 organizations receive funding through CCA. The company has developed a strategic policy of contributing to local nonprofit organizations who share our core mission: to make a difference by improving health and quality of life. In addition to dollar donations, we seek out organizations we can further support through partnership and volunteer efforts. Over time, we have found that combining our resources in this way is the most effective means of impacting the health and quality of life of a community. Read about the types of charitable contributions we support. Charitable contributions outside our headquarters region Outside of our headquarters area, charitable funds are also available to field-based employees and leaders of our regional business centers in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Tampa. These funds may be disbursed at the local level to support health care–related nonprofit organizations and events. In addition, AstraZeneca’s R&D and manufacturing sites in Delaware and Massachusetts also support local nonprofit and community organizations. Read about how we prioritize our funding. |
